Why Your Prospects Binge Freebies but Resist Investing (And How to Shift It)

Because for many, it’s actually a coping strategy for a nervous system in “freeze” ❄️.

When we feel overwhelmed, burnt out 😩, or afraid of failing, grabbing free resources or low-cost workshop replays feels safe.
It’s “low risk.”
It gives the illusion of progress — “I’m learning, I’m doing something” — but it doesn’t require real commitment.

And… here’s the biggest truth bomb 💥:
It also (temporarily) relieves anxiety without requiring REAL change.

It’s like having a donut for dinner 🍩 (comfort food/instant dopamine hit) without providing actual nutrition and sustainability long term.
Or signing up for a gym membership but never going consistently 🏋️.

The problem? Staying stuck in free mode keeps you spinning 🔄.
You end up with more information, but not more transformation.

Free resources are great for sparking ideas 💡.
But true change requires:

  • Commitment + Follow Through — deciding that you’re ready and taking action consistently ✅

  • Support — having someone guide you through the process to accelerate results 🤝

  • Accountability — so you follow through even when resistance shows up (it will, naturally) 📌

In many of my Signature Programs, I teach a soulful way to lead consumers of content into paid programs organically 🌱.
So you’re not stuck in the “friend zone” of over-giving but never actually receiving…

For your potential clients, are they using freebie consumption as progress… or as a way to avoid taking the leap they really need?
Because the shift happens when you move from consuming ➡️ committing.
