What Is The Best Tech For Your Business? I’ve Got You Covered!
I get this question A LOT in my transformation + business coaching practice – What tech platforms do you use? What are the best ones and why?
Since I help many entrepreneurs to clear self-sabotage to amplify your income and impact, tech is a BIG topic.
Today I am going to highlight the platforms I use in my business; everything from CRM (Client Relationship Management) to booking client calls. I’ll give you my honest feedback. Please read the disclaimer at the bottom of this blog.
Here’s the thing…
When you’re looking for tech for your business, you want 3 things.
#1. An affordable option. You don’t want to pay an arm and a leg, especially when you’re just starting.
#2. Excellent customer service. Nothing is worse than having the technology, but not knowing how to use it.
#3. Effectiveness and ease of use. You want to be sure that the platform you select is user-friendly and has guides or videos to help you along the way to build your brand.
Let’s begin! Here are some of the top tech platforms I use in my business:
I have looked into both, but I picked Kajabi as my course platform, hands down.
I have the Growth plan since I have many products I sell, such as my Elevate membership, Monetize Your Magic e-course, retreats, Quantum Queen e-course, and more through Kajabi. You can choose from the Basic, Growth, or Pro plan and switching to annual payments saves you 20%.
What I love about Kajabi is that you don’t get extra charges taken out of your transactions. Kajabi integrates with PayPal, which takes out the 2.3% transaction fee when a customer buys a digital product…but that’s it. Yes, you pay more with Kajabi up-front, but there are no crazy processing fees. It’s very straight forward, which I appreciate.
With Teachable, you get hit with the 2.3% from PayPal or Stripe AND transaction fees and processing fees. PLUS, you have to pay monthly fees for your plan anyway. You can choose between the Basic, Pro, and Business plans. Yes, it’s less expensive up front, but the extra fees didn’t appeal to me, especially because I have a lot of bigger ticket transactions and also multiple transactions per month. If you’re just starting out, maybe Teachable could be a viable option for you.
I also like how Kajabi allows you to have affiliate/referral partners. So if you have a course or membership and want to give your affiliate 10% of any referral, it’s easy to set up. Your affiliate simply signs up through a Kajabi link and has access to specific referral links that they can post on social media. Once someone buys through their link, they get paid automatically through PayPal and Kajabi does the heavy lifting.
Kajabi has everything you need for your business:
-You can have your CRM platform and newsletter sent through Kajabi
-The ability to sell courses, memberships, and any other online program your heart desires
-There is also the ability to have landing pages
I also received a special package when I reached $10k in sales, which I thought was a special touch. Not many companies send freebies like that anymore, so I was VERY appreciative of that!
Constant Contact. I really can’t say enough great things about them. I’ve been a loyal customer to them for 9 years now. I love their customer service as they are always available and willing to help you work through a problem or challenge you may have.
I use Constant Contact for my opt-in lead pages, for automated content for clients, and for my newsletters.
Their platform is very easy to navigate and it’s affordable in my book. I currently pay $42/month. Their pricing is based upon the number of subscribers you have on your list AND if you want the opt-in/automated content feature.
Constant Contact also has the ability to help you with:
-Setting up and hosting a website
-Integrations with your website
-Tracking reporting for trends with your newsletters
You can sign up for Constant Contact using my affiliate link below. I appreciate your support as affiliate partnerships allow me to continue providing awesome free content like this!
Calendly – Booking Appointments or Discovery Calls
I use Calendly to allow my clients and leads to select appointments with me. It’s so nice to not have to go back and forth figuring out when your client is available. You simply give them your Calendly link and they can select the day/time that best suits their schedule.
The basic version is free, which is nice for beginners who just need one calendar. The paid versions give you the option to have more than one event type (30 minute meeting, 60 minute meeting, etc) for your clients to book into.
You can add questions for your client or lead to answer before they book a call with you. You can also integrate Zoom to have it automatically create a link when someone books in.
Survey Monkey or Typeform – Survey or Testimonial Collection
I love Survey Monkey because it’s free and also because it’s very simple to use. You can create simple surveys to collect data or testimonials from your clients. You can choose for your client or lead to answer in multiple choice, short answer form, or check boxes. It’s so easy to use!
Now I use and pay for Typeform because I like the beautiful, customizable format of the survey layouts along with the ability to get notifications when clients or survey participants fill out a form.
Canva – Graphic Design Images
Canva is everyone’s favorite for creating beautiful images. I have the pro version so that I get access to more backgrounds, text options, and photos that the free version won’t give you.
Camtasia – Video/audio recording/editing
I’ve had Camtasia for about 7 years now and am a huge fan. It is a software that you purchase once and have lifetime access to. You get a ‘key code’ when you buy it, so it can only be used on one computer at a time.
I use it to edit/trim my meditation recordings, video content, etc. You can overlay music for your meditations, hypnoses, and audio recordings. You can also add annotations and images, which are helpful for YouTube videos and when you want to give a specific call to action. Ex: Subscribe button
So there are all of my platforms!
