Client Acquisition Made Easy: Utilizing Affiliate Partnerships to Scale
Let’s be real.
It costs time, money, and energy to acquire new clients.
A client needs to get to know, like, and trust you through repeated marketing efforts and points of connection. Ex: Reading a blog, watching a workshop/video, absorbing your content, etc.
In essence, you’re developing a relationship and connection with them over time. Just like dating! 😉
Client Acquisition Cost (CAC) = Cost of sales + marketing efforts divided by # of new clients acquired.
Say you spend $200 on Facebook ads, plus another 8 hours of your time creating and executing a launch strategy (8 hours of your time X your hourly rate.) Say it’s $2k total divided by 1 new client – your CAC is $1,000 per client.
What if instead, you created an affiliate partnership to take that entire top of the equation away…and instead pay that affiliate a percentage of the commission of the sale?
It would be a LOT less effort on your part.
So why not pay your affiliates well for their word-of-mouth referrals? Ex: On a $2k sale, give them 10% or $200.
I WANT to pay my affiliates well because it’s a way of me saying “THANK YOU” for the referral. It’s a way of showing my appreciation for their efforts.
It’s a win-win in my opinion.
