Done Being the “Good Girl” in Your Business?

This has been a big topic in client conversations lately and on our Release and Rise call last night.

Many of us were taught to…

⭐Be nice so that we would be good little girls and not rock the boat or have others not like us.

⭐Dim our light so we wouldn’t make others feel bad or feel like we are ‘bragging.’

⭐Not make others uncomfortable so we charge less, barter services, or give discounts.

⭐Say YES, even when we don’t really want to do something (and really want to say NO.)

⭐Suppress/ignore our needs, desires, and wants because it doesn’t matter.

⭐Put our heads down and work hard to please others.

When we were young…

We got punished when we went against the rules or authority figures.

We got rewarded when we went with the rules and authority figures.

As a result, we became less and less of ourselves to receive love, attention, and approval from others. Thus, leading to ‘good girl syndrome.’

In fact, I’d go as far to say that it can drastically diminish your income and impact. But it doesn’t have to…

Transformation involves deprogramming all of the BS we learned about being ‘good’, putting our needs last, not setting boundaries, etc.

I’ve had to work on this constantly too, btw. 😉There are different levels of it.

I attract a lot of rebel pharmacists who are former ‘good girls.’

They REALLY crave to be their badass, confident, authentic selves and boldly go for their dream of owning a PROFITABLE healing business.

They want to show up unapologetically to shine their light and courageously be seen in their brilliance.

They’re the rule breakers (in a good way!) the misfits, the women who want to disrupt the status quo to make a huge impact in the world.
